It provides a smooth, larger diameter turbulence-free air path for noticeably better airflow, improved boost response to give a little more power and sharper throttle reaction. All the while being able to actually hear your turbo working at last! The OE part is designed for one purpose: to reduce engine bay acoustics. To achieve this, the factory plastic pipe channels your airflow through a restrictive OE resonator and turbulent plastic ‘bellows’. In doing so it introduces an airflow restriction and a significant pressure-drop into the induction system. MMR Intake Resonator Delete Pipe replaces the whole factory resonator pipe with this smooth, turbulence-free pipework. By opening up that highly restrictive airflow path through to the turbo, not only is airflow improved and the pressure-drop minimised, but it also restores some of the lost intake and turbo noises that have previously been muffled from your MINI’s soundtrack. That’s a sound that any keen driver will love to hear! The Resonator Delete Pipe features smooth-bore mandrel bent aluminium pipework that has all of required take-offs incorporated with beautiful billet fittings for an easy DIY installation with the factory connections. Finished in a durable and aesthetically pleasing crackle finish complete with contrasting MMR laser-etched logo, this premium tig-welded assembly offers improved performance, sound and aesthetic appeal. Optional Extras: MMR Silicone Intake Hose The MMR Performance hardpipe will marry up with the OEM factory intake pipe from the intake itself but for a further increase in performance, airflow and further enhancing induction noise then you can replace this with the MMR Silicone Intake Hose. it replaces the entire restrictive rear factory plastic ‘bellows’ pipe between the airbox and the intake backpipe.
